  1. What's the best way to put a bra on?
  2. How often should I check my bra size?
  3. If my bra is not supportive enough, should I tighten up the shoulder straps?

What's the best way to put a bra on?

It might sound like a silly question, but the way you put your bra on can make a big difference to the fit and shape that it gives you. We tend to put our bras on in two ways – either by putting our arms through the straps and fastening it behind our backs, or by fastening it at the front and twisting it around our waists into position. Either way is fine, but the important thing to remember is to lean forward so that your boobs fall into the bra and fill the cups properly. If you don't completely fill the cups, or if you have baggy fabric at the bottom of the cups, lift and reposition your boobs in the cups so that you get a smooth line without wrinkles. If all else fails, a little wiggle and jiggle usually works wonders! If it's a new bra, try fastening it on the loosest or second loosest hook, so that as you wear it and it becomes a little looser, you can tighten it up.

How often should I check my bra size?

Our boobs change for all sorts of reasons throughout our lives (age, weight variations, pregnancy, and use of the contraceptive pill) and you may not be the same size for longer than a few months, let alone a lifetime! So, if you want to look and feel as good as you deserve to, look at your bras regularly and use our three step check to ensure you've got the perfect fit. We recommend that you check your bras are fitting you properly at least every six months, and more often if you are pregnant or there are other reasons why your boobs may be changing.

If my bra is not supportive enough, should I tighten up the shoulder straps?

Although you do need to make sure that your shoulder straps aren't too loose, it's the strap around your back that provides most of the support for your boobs. If this is too loose, you won't get good support, no matter how tight you make your shoulder straps. Instead, your bra will ride up your back and you'll spend half your day yanking it back down into place.

Sound familiar? If so, check that you've got your bra fastened on the tightest hook. If you can't fasten your bra strap any tighter, you need to try a smaller back size. But remember, if you go for a smaller back size, the cup size will be smaller too, so you will need to increase your cup size to compensate. For example, if a 36DD rides up your back and doesn't feel supportive enough, try a 34E or a 32F instead – you'll be amazed by the difference.

Can I place my website order on Special Delivery?

At present we do not have facility for Special Delivery on our website. However you just need to call Customer Services who will be more than happy to take your order over the phone and do this for you. 3. Can I return items to a shop?
  4. How long will it take for me to receive my exchange order?

Can I place an exchange order over the website?

Unfortunately, all orders placed on our website are treated as new orders as we currently have no way for you to alert us that you are returning items. Therefore the order cannot be held as a possible exchange order. We simply send out all orders received via the website as soon as possible. Please don't worry though, if you want to place an exchange order you are more than welcome to phone this through to Customer Services or e-mail us with the details of the items you want holding and we will do the rest.

Will you notify me when you have received my returns and refunded my card?

We will send an e-mail or letter confirming your refund if it is £50 or over, so you know when the money should appear back in your account /on your statement. If your refund is for less than £50 we will only notify you if you request us to do so on your Returns form.

Can I return items to a shop?

No problem at all, all of our stores are happy to accept returns. All we ask is that you take along your invoice for the order with the items you wish to return (please leave labels in tact) – this makes it nice and easy for the shop to locate the details and process your refund/exchange for you.

How long will it take for me to receive my exchange order?

We aim to process exchange orders within 5 days of receiving your returns into our warehouse. However we do need to allow time for your parcel to be delivered back to us and then time for the new order to get back to you, so in total it can take around 2 weeks. Please don't worry if you need an exchange quicker than this as you can always call Customer Services and place an urgent exchange order. This will be a new order which we will require payment for, however we will not charge a further postage and packing charge. Then when we receive your returns we will just refund you for the original order.

  1. How will I know how much my order is, in my currency?
  2. I have been notified there is a problem with my payment details – how do I best update the order with the correct information?

How will I know how much my order is, in my currency?

As Bravissimo is based in the UK all prices shown are in Pounds sterling (£) and due to the daily fluctuating exchange rate we cannot offer an exact conversion. We would therefore recommend visiting a conversion site such as www.x-rates.com to find out how much your order will be in your currency before ordering.

I have been notified there is a problem with my payment details – how do I best update the order with the correct information?

Once your order has been confirmed and reached us in Customer Services we do not have facility for you to amend payment details on the website, so please give us a call in Customer Services and we can take the payment details again.

  1. What size are the models that you use?
  2. If an item is showing as sold out, will you be getting anymore into stock?
  3. Who developed the Bravissimo website?

What size are the models that you use?

At Bravissimo, we are committed to celebrating big boobs, so using models that are endowed with the right assets is very important to us. When we first started in 1995, none of the photography in our catalogue was our own and hardly any of the models featured in our suppliers' photography were over a B cup. We got lots of letters from Bravissimo girls asking us to do something about this as it was so difficult to tell what the styles looked like in bigger sizes, and so we started to do our own photography. Today, we photograph all of the styles that we offer and all the models that we use are a minimum of a DD cup.

Don't forget – if you're finding it difficult to find a bra that fits you comfortably, please give our customer services consultants a call on 01926 459 859. Alternatively, you can always come and see us at one of our shops. Our fitting consultants are friendly and knowledgeable and will spend the time it takes to find styles that make you look and feel like a new woman!

If an item is showing as sold out, will you be getting anymore into stock?

Sadly when an item is showing as sold out this does mean we have completely run out of this size/style and won't be getting any more from the supplier. If you really want an item and would like to see if we get any returned to us, you are more than welcome to call Customer Services and we can hold a sold out item for you for two week. We will be sure to get back in touch if we receive one in for you.
