Senior Merchandiser - Lingerie & Nightwear (Maternity Cover) - Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

Salary: Competitive

Start date: Immediate/Short Notice

Duration: 18 month contract

Inspiring big boobed women to feel amazing

About Bravissimo

Bravissimo is a dynamic multi-channel retailer which provides lingerie, swimwear and clothing for women who need a D-L cup bra. We want big boobed women to feel amazing and we aim to inspire our customers to celebrate their curves and feel good about themselves. We have 26 UK Bravissimo shops and a well-developed ecommerce operation which accounts for 40% of the company’s £50m turnover. We stock a wide range of branded and own brand lingerie and bra-sized swimwear, have our own range of strappy tops and nightwear with built-in bras, and a range of clothing uniquely cut to accommodate bigger busts.

Bravissimo has won many awards for its products, service, entrepreneurial approach and originality, and for the last 10 years we have been one of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for.

About the job

As Senior Merchandiser you will be responsible for the planning, supply and distribution of our Lingerie & Nightwear products. Within our Lingerie range we stock both Branded & Own Brand products and a large proportion of our business is continuity. Choice and availability are essential to ensuring our customers have the best experience possible, and you will be responsible for ensuring our customers are able to buy the styles they would like via any of our shopping channels.

Bravissimo’s merchandising is not straight forward, offering styles in up to 100 sizes via mail order, website and across 26 shops. One style in one colour can have over 2000 stock locations, and the pattern of sales from each of these locations is interrelated. The number of our sizes and the complexity of our processes means even the simplest activity becomes a mathematical challenge.

As a senior manager in Bravisimo, your role will go beyond pure merchandising and you will also be responsible for ensuring the strategic objectives of the department are met to drive forward our 5 year plan.

About you

We are looking for an individual with exceptional ability with numbers who can see patterns and trends and will not be intimidated by complex systems or analysis. Our expectation is that you will have at least an A grade at Maths A level or equivalent.

Although you have the mental agility of a mathematical analyst, you will also have a depth of experience as a merchandiser ideally in a multi-channel retail environment. You will have experience of leading and managing a team and driving change to meet business objectives and goals. Experience in managing systems changes within merchandising would be a bonus.

You will have great communication skills: externally you build good relationships with suppliers to ensure they deliver on time and as planned; internally, you are approachable and take the time to work with your colleagues to achieve business goals. Your excellent planning and organisation means you never miss a deadline, and your customer focused approach means you work hard to deliver to both your internal and external customers.

Experience is important, but what matters most is the person you are. We want a logical thinker with a questioning approach, who is able to understand how merchandising is different at Bravissimo and apply their experience in a relevant way to this. You will bring an enthusiasm for the role and the brand, be flexible in your approach and eager to get involved and spend time working directly with our customers.

If you think this is the role for you, please send your CV with a covering letter explaining why you would like the job, along with your current salary, benefits package and available start date to jobs@bravissimo.com.

No agencies please.

Our marketing team is responsible for developing and delivering our agreed marketing plan for the year to drive sales through customer retention and recruitment. From our website through to our emails, magazine, social media activity and PR they ensure all activity is true to our brand tone of voice, image and target market with the majority of our activity designed in house. All of this promotes visitors to our stores and website and engages our customers with our brand. Some of this is purely ecommerce focussed, for example search marketing and online advertising, whereas other elements are retail focussed, for example launching an exciting new shop. The team also plans and delivers seasonal photo shoots which successfully sell our products and communicate our brand image.
