3 Step Maternity Fit Guide
- Throw away your tape measures. You won’t find a Bravissimo fitter using a tape measure because our experience shows that measuring is not the key to getting a great fit. Stand by a mirror and start by taking a look at how your bra fits you and then consider whether you need to adjust your back or cup size.
- The band around your back should be firm but comfortable and should be sitting horizontally around your body. Most of the support of a bra comes from the band, so you may need to tighten the back as the bra stretches with everyday wash and wear.
- Your boobs should be completely enclosed in the cups and not bulging out of the top of the cup. If you are wearing an underwired style, the wires of the bra should follow the line underneath your boobs, finishing in the centre and sitting flat against your chest.
It’s impossible to predict how and when your boobs will change in shape or size during pregnancy – if an underwired style begins to fit less well, the wires might rub, or dig into your boobs so it’s especially important when you are pregnant to keep checking your bra still fits you well.
