The super-uplifting Asher will keep you up, up, up! Based on the best-selling Marcie bra, it gives a really rounded, upfront shape without any padding and it’s a great option if your boobs are set close together.
Lovely soft material - very comfy but cup size was massive! Another bra I ordered at the same time fit perfectly.
Having recently dropped from a GG to a FF, I found Marcie unwearable due to its narrow band. Asher is an improved fit in the cup for me - but the band is still a huge issue. It’s too narrow at the sides and creates bulges that don’t exist with other bras. The tiny 2 hook clasp is the actual worst - I was in agony from the pressure there, and the band had plenty of room in it. It also offers no support so the tiny, tiny straps dig in to my shoulders and cause pain there. For me, an improved fit would address the band issue. Why can’t the band on the FF have the same depth as on the GG? Asher is lovey in terms of shape and fit in the cups, but just doesn’t quite deliver, unfortunately.
Not having owned a Marcie, this bra’s predecessor, I had no fixed expectations. I’m delighted with the style, fit, fabric and colour!...more colours please. The cup size is generous as other reviewers have said but I still bought my usual size.
Like lots of people, I was upset to hear that Cleo Marcie is being discontinued because it’s my best fitting bra. But, Asher does fit me more or less the same, maybe even better! I think the cups overall are deeper than Marcie’s, which works well for me, but if Marcie is as deep in the cup as you can go then maybe avoid this one. On me I am super perky and uplifted in Asher, with the great round shape I get in Marcie too. The look of this bra is also better in my opinion, I’m in my thirties and while I think Marcie is very pretty, it’s perhaps a tad girlish for me. Asher is more minimalist and more grown up.
Still on the search for something to replace my lovely Bravissimo Nina bras. I have had to send this back as the cup size was enormous! I ordered in my normal size, as advised. Having said that, the bra itself is very pretty, along the lines of a Bravissimo Alana but in a more sheer material. I have sent the bra back and ordered a different style, simply because I’m unsure how many cup sizes to go down. This might be something I would try again if I’m actually in the shop.
I went into the Chester store to be remeasured yesterday and was told the Marcie has been discontinued! I was gutted, it’s my go to bra and I wear it all the time (have it in 3 colours). Then I tried this bra and wow, shape is brilliant, uplift is excellent (after breastfeeding two children this is necessary!) and the straps are more comfortable then Marcie. I’m sold! The nude will be next on my list and then we need it in some lovely colours!
I tried the new Asher in-store today, but sadly it's not like Marcie, even though it's supposed to be. It's very minimising, a bit 'east-west', much less 'up front', and it doesn't have as much projection at the bottom of the cups. What lets it down the most, though, is that the seams create really odd bulges, which I think is caused by the slim panel of mesh between the top of the main fabric and the lace upper cup. On the plus side, I found it to be very comfortable in my usual size, but I'm disappointed that it's not the same fit as the Marcie that we all love (and which has been discontinued by Panache).
I’m a Panache girl through and through. Love the rounded (non torpedo), side sling, shape of them all. But this bra...wow! My boobs are finally back to where they were when I was 21! It has disguised, to the outside world, the sagging effects of feeding 3 big boy babies! I am only 5ft 2” and with the fabulous uplift I’ve got from this bra you can actually see my waist too! I’ve just bought it in the black too. Desperate for more colours of this now!
