I had to stop wearing underwired bras when I discovered I have an allergy to the wires. This bra, contrary to other reviews give me a much better shape than other I have bought. It is very comfortable and I wish I could still get it. I have it in black and would like to buy another in cream.
As I’m about to undergo breast surgery I needed to obtain a non-wired bra. This bra has to be the most unflattering design that I’ve seen and was not true to the photo displayed. The design seems typical of the fifties with ‘pointy’ cups and a totally unfemine design. I did order 36 instead of 34 for a softer fit. I was hesitant to try it on as it looked totally frumpy, although quite comfortable it made me not like my own body. Would definitely not recommend. Have returned.
It's comfortable but I don't like the way it makes the boobs look.
I have the Ava non wired bra in both black and white because since being pregnant it was uncomfortable to wear wired styles. As the other reviewers have said, it isn't very attractive but there is hardly any choice for non wired bras above a G cup. I have the bras in two different sizes and use a bra extender with them as I keep changing as my pregnancy progresses. They were fairly comfortable but becoming less so since I got past 33 weeks of pregnancy. They don't give much lift to your boobs but I'm getting used to this look and had to find bigger looser tops to wear to compensate.
I read the reviews and bought the Sophie rather than this. After the WLE I went to the shop and bought this: why? Well the profile of this is pretty low slung and pointy, the side profile image in the photo does give you a sense of this. Under a fitted top this would be too low slung and 50s boudoir for me but that is not my current priority. This bra supports you as if you have placed your hands gently under your boobs and lift them up. It does not move them centrally so no cleavage but for my scar post surgery there was far less movement to fit into it. Also the underarms are lower cut on me putting less pressure on the sentinel node scar. I bought a back size up and wear it to sleep in and whenever i need comfort more than style. This and the Sophie in my size have seems in them 32G but for this one the seem forms a T across the breast below the nipple and then down from the middle to the waist band. For me this avoided the scar. for more support looks at the Freya Idol
I bought this bra after a web consultation with Laura who was very helpful. Now, this is not the most sexy uplifting bra in the world BUT is is comfortable! I have fibromyalgia and wearing a bra is painful. I had given up all hope of ever wearing one again! I have always had bra's with underwires for the uplift, but I am now a convert to soft cups! I had to go up a band size as my usual size was a little snug.
I love the small white dots (on the black bra). I ordered this one a bit wider since I have a medical condition that sometimes give me lots of ache so I wanted a bra that is comfortable at home, still gives some support but no pain. This bra is it. Not the most flattering shape for my old boobs, but a nice, comfortable bra.
If you want cone shaped breasts this is the bra for you. Currently pregnant and was looking for a non wired comfortable bra but had to return this. Not a great style at all unfortunately
