This is the largest sized nursing bra available, which left with no other option I had to go with. I was really disappointed that there weren't options in bigger cup sizes and also that you can only buy 40L in black not nude, further limiting options
Went to store and got measured for a nursing bra about 2 months after having a baby as I was fed up of mono boob and generally feeling frumpy. For a bra shop, supposedly for the larger busted lady, the choice was seriously poor for a 36J. This bra was the only one that they had, that fitted and gave some seperate boob shape, although somewhat weird and pointy. My main problem with this bra, is that there is a seam that runs across the nipples inside and the mesh from the top part, runs right down through the cup and chafes my already sore nipples! That and the fact that I cant wear any v-neck tops without the top of the bra showing as it comes up so high. It is the bra I wear when my favourite is in the wash, points for seperate boobies, but not the most comfortable.
This bra feels like it is trying to pull my breasts downwards and apart. I have a naturally high sitting, full on top shape and always avoid full cup styles because they pinch the top of my breasts and do nothing for my shape. Unfortunately no one has made a nursing bra that works in a balconette style by the looks of it and there is such little choice in a KK cup we have to take what we can get sometimes. I'd honestly prefer an option that was wired. I find wired bras more comfortable, the structure at the sides is beneficial for my shape. It's a shame that there are no options that work with the shape of my body.
I have quite large breasts and have always struggled to find maternity/nursing bras that provide enough support but I decided to give Bravissimo a try and I'm impressed. Super great support, pretty bra and fairly comfortable, the reason for four stars instead of five is because I'd say the sizing is a little off. I'm normally a 34 however I ordered a 36 just to be safe but it's actually rather tight and I can only wear it on the last latches.
Having enjoyed the comfort of Bravissimo soft cup bra during my pregnancy I was looking forward to breastfeeding being easy with their nursing bra. While breastfeeding has been easy, it is not thanks to this bra. I have worn it about 5 times, with great reluctance. While the fit of the bra is good, hooking and unhooking the cup is also fine (but takes some practise), the greatest problem is the plastic strap length adjusters sit right on the shoulder. After wearing the bra for just a couple of hours I have very sore red marks on my shoulders where those little pieces of plastic cut in, and the area remains sore for days after. Thanks to that I am sticking with my Bravissimo soft cup where the strap adjusters sit on my back, even though it makes breast feeding in public very tricky.
Support is really good. Totally different from what I have now. Doesn't look as pretty as the Sophia nursing bra but it does a fantastic job. Only downside is the fit. Seems a little smaller than my usual bra size but is fine considering that I have been nursing for 22 months and my size has stopped fluctuating. If you've just started nursing, go up a cup size or 2. The fabric is not very forgiving. The band size could be kept as when you were pregnant. Other than that, it can be a great bra to use.
I have just ordered an identical second bra as I am so happy with it. My pre-pregnancy size was 34JJ but I had to go a bit bigger as my breast have got larger. I haven't had my baby yet (hence time to write a review) but the drop down clasp for breastfeeding works well. The material feels nice and the bra is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have struggled to get used to wearing non-wired but this bra gives a shape which is similar to wearing wired so I feel a lot happier in it. It is my favourite nursing bra.
I bought two of these bras in store, having been fitted, but they're a disaster. Kind of ugly, but decent support for a nursing bra and good separation. But so so uncomfortable. After ten minutes wearing the bra, my neck and shoulders are in agony. I think it's because the straps dig in even at their maximum length. I can't overstate the pain they cause. Fortunately, stellar customer service from Bravissimo as usual, & I'm returning them but I would suggest that you be wary if you've ever had this issue with a bra before - I realised too late that I have, also with a Royce bra.
