Description

This style gives a rounded shape and great support thanks to a double layer of lace in the bottom cups and the top cups are stretch lace for a great fit. We’d love to hear if it takes your ‘fancy’!

The GG+ cup sizes are a balconette shape without the keyhole detail, and with lined top cups rather than stretch lace.

Like being naked!

Despite the look of the black lace in the photos, this lace is some super soft sheer rocket science material that I can barely feel against my skin. Nice! The bra I ordered a 34DD is a little small for me. I don't think this is due to the bra design, but my current weight. I'll be keeping it as I'm currently loosing weight and it's just so darn comfortable! It's not a bra that pulls you "up", you'll have a more natural profile. The back strap is just one button, which I rarely use but it works fine. It supports ok despite being soft and feeling near nude. Works under t-shirts as the lace doesn't "pop" and bulge. Do take care with fitting, you might need to size up a cup.

Love it

A gorgeous bra, very pretty and fits well. After having a baby, my body has changed and finding a bra in a completely different style to what I would have worn before that I actually like and feel comfortable in, hasn't been easy. I was strictly a lined t-shirt bra girl... But that style is for me no longer! Love the colour of this bra too, not sure why I can't seem to get any of the other colours in my size?! Very disappointing as would have loved the petal pink as well. Bought in 32GG... Can't seem to select the size from the menu!

A miracle of engineering

Review published on:

Customer rating:5 out of 5 stars

This bra is a miracle of engineering. Even in larger cup sizes it's unbelievably light and flimsy looking, yet offers great support and comfort and shape. There is only one hook at the back, but the strap then widens so it doesn't pinch or dig in. I had read other reviews on here about it being slightly on the small size, so chose to get the 38G rather than the 36G (my normal size) and this turned out perfectly. I would recommend that others consider going one back size up. I have now bought this bra in both the Petal Pink and the Cobalt blue, and I hope it is produced in some other, brighter colours as well, eg Hot Pink or Orange or Aqua. It's ideal for wearing under a sundress in hot weather.

Does not ride up, surprisingly

Review published on:

Customer rating:4 out of 5 stars

Wasn't sure this bra would be supportive enough - but it is, and it doesn't ride up more than any other bra does. My only gripe is that on the first setting, there is almost nothing between the hook and my skin, so it can be a bit uncomfy - so I wear it on the middle loop. It could really do with two hooks horizontally, to keep the fabric under the main hook in place (might have a go at fixing that). Otherwise though a great bra for summer!

Lovely back. No support

I so wanted to love this bra, it is fabulously comfortable and I thought, at last, Freya has given us a replacement for the spectacularly supportive Faye, long since disappeared. Nope. The pretty lace stretches everywhere, so your boobs start to fall. In the space of three wears I am now on the tightest fastening having started on the loosest. There is no structure to speak of in the pretty back fastening and as the sides are stretchy, the whole affair rides up your back as the day wears on and the straps are too thin, resulting in very unattrative low boobs. I'm so disappointed. I have bought almost all of the unpadded Freya's and a couple of the padded over the years and Freya is the only bra that fits me, (after a disastrous foray into Panache, never to be repeated). I know this is a popular bra, but it didn't cut the mustard for me.

Freya have done the impossible

Review published on:

Customer rating:5 out of 5 stars

I didn't believe this bra when I first saw it: I think too many manufacturers over-do the amount of hooks and go for a triple when it's not always necessary (especially being just an F cup), but when I saw that this bra involved only a single hook, I thought it must either be rubbish or sorcery... it's the latter. This bra looks lovely and delicate, but offers excellent support. I've lived in it through the summer, a perfect lightweight option on hot days, but still giving the support I want and need. I have the black and pink, and find them true to size, cobalt will be my next purchase. Would love a touch of velvet or sparkle for special occasions - maybe a red, purple or green one? I'd have one in every colour of the rainbow if I could, this bra is FANTASTIC (and a much more reasonable price than some bras in larger cup sizes, too). Round of applause for Freya, take a (well-supported) bow!

Looks delicate but great support!

I have this in both the graphite and black. I would say the black version is slightly larger - unusual as I am aware the black dye for fabrics can make that colourway a tighter fit. However, it is not that noticeable and both fit well, giving me a great, upfront shape. I love the single hook fastening too!

Comfy and practical!

After discovering my new Freya size of 28F (normally I'm a 30E/F), I've tried several of their bras & was delighted to see the lower, narrower back in this style. The fit I think is similar to Freya balcony plunge bras; the stretch lace isn't as adaptable/flexi as the one used in Panache bras though (Clara, Andorra or Jasmine). I bought it in store and wore it the same evening for several hours, and though it was a hot day, it was super comfortable, no chaffing etc. Best thing is the lower back works, as I hoped, in a keyhole back dress I own! The regular price is also fairly purse-friendly.
