This dress is a real winner. It has a very simple, elegant and versatile design. I will be able to wear this on a variety of occasions. I really like the way the cut at the waist enables you to adjust between a higher and lower neckline. The higher neckline is more demure and suitable for a work or formal occasion. With the lower neckline, there is the added bonus of ruching at the waist which is always flattering and smoothes out any underwear lines, as does the double layering of fabric in the wrap section. And it shows just the perfect amount of décolletage! Sexy, but in a subtle and elegant way. With the neckline versatility, this dress is a perfect desk to dinner piece, as not only can it be dressed up or down with accessories, it can also show a day or night amount of cleavage. The princess seams on the top half of the dress ensure it fits perfectly around the bust with no gaping or sagging. Without princess seams, wrap dresses so often gape or shift when you move around, needing pinning or constant adjustment. Not so here. It is so lovely to see a dress which is actually cut to suit a curvy figure and which doesn’t just rely on using stretchy fabric to accommodate an ample bosom. As a result of the princess seams and waist ruching, this dress actually stays put in place and doesn’t gape or shift as you move. At 5’4 1/2”, this dress was just perfect for me in terms of both skirt length and fit in the body. The waist part of the dress actually sits on my waist rather than approaching my hips. This means the waist is defined and the dress reveals the true curvy shape underneath rather than drowning me. The skirt sits just at the top of the knee. I really appreciate how Bravissimo have used proper cutting and shaping techniques in the construction of this dress. It’s sadly such a dying art on so much of the High Street. Finally, the fabric is whisper soft, making this dress a joy to wear.
