This jacket fits amazingly! I've got it in size 10 Super Curvy which is my usual size and it gives my body a nice hourglass shape. I wouldn't squeeze any thick jumpers underneath, but for mild winter weather it is absolutely sufficient. Although it is not a winter jacket, it does keep me fairly warm. The zip comes up easily over the bust and the material is nice and soft. Red colour is gorgeous too. I've had it for over a year now and it still looks great. I didn't have any issues with the inside coming out, maybe handful tiny strands that came out in the whole time, which was not a problem. It is not showerproof, but that's not an issue for me. All in all it's a wonderful jacket and I love wearing it.
I think some other reviewers were expecting a different sort of coat. This is a lovely, lightweight Bravissimo equivalent of those pack-down-small down-filled coats you can buy at TK Maxx - so with the 20% off, suddenly it seemed a reasonable price. The colour is great and the zips work well. My usual size 16 Super Curvy would probably have been fine but I wanted to be able to layer scarves and thermals etc under it so I allowed space. The cuffs taper so they aren't draughty, but will fit a pair of gloves underneath.
Nice cut and love the colour but as far as practicality or warmth goes, best look elsewhere. Poor fabric, no cuffs on sleeves to keep the wind out and filling isn't at all warm. Such a shame as it's so difficult finding a coat that's both warm and which looks nice and does up!
This jacket fits like a dream, is the perfect length and is made of gorgeously silky fabric. It isn’t particularly thick or waterproof, but it keeps me warm and keeps the wind out, and I don’t think any jackets of this style are waterproof. Unfortunately, within a few days of wearing it, fluff started to appear on the outside of the jacket, working it’s way through the fabric. Generally it brushes off easily, but a few times when I’ve tried to remove the fluff, larger pieces have been pulled through, making it look like thick, white, cottons are sticking out of the coat. I can cut these off and work the ends back through the fabric, but I can’t help thinking this shouldn’t be necessary on such an expensive jacket!! I won’t return it though, because I love the fit so much.
I tried this on in store and was disappointed that the zip broke straight away, thought maybe it was too small (although it did fit perfectly) so I tried a bigger size again the zip broke, I'm not sure if this is a problem with this jacket or was I just unlucky.
The colour is great. I bought it one size bigger, so it will fit over a bit more layers. In addition, the 14 had shorter sleeves, the 16 was better for me 5’11 and long arms. It fits perfectly and is not bulky in any way. It is easily stowed in a bag during travel.
I saw this jacket and liked the young, fun feel due to the bright colour. I love it. Great fit, long enough in the body and arms due to having enough space for my boobs without adding too much bulk - a jacket I can actually stand up straight in! Perfect for chilly mornings outdoors. Keep up the fun brights please Bravissimo.
I had eyed up this coat online since it was added to the website, but waited until going into London to potentially buy it. I loved that it was bright red and not just black or blue. However, when I tried it on the first thing I noticed is how thin it was and also that it wasn’t lined... an ongoing issue of mine with some Bravissimo coats or jackets. It’s also not waterproof, pretty annoying when living in England. I was really disappointed especially with the £80 price tag. I must admit it did fit like a dream like Bravissimo clothing always does, but I just couldn’t push myself to spend that much when it will probably only get used until November when the weather will inevitably get colder. Would potentially buy it if it goes in the sale in my size.
