Are you gravitating towards Orbit?! A great option for those of us who want amazing support without the wires, this style has firm support and full coverage, so it prevents jiggle while you run, jump or dance!
I've tried many sports bras, often having back pain and having to take them off immediately after exercise in the car (especially with the Shock Absorbers), the racer style in general gives me back pain. This has been the first to fit just right and on the plus side I like the way it looks.
I'm very sorry to say this bra is not as good as the Shock Absorbers. The part of the straps that are on your back and are used to adjust the tension on the straps are definitely of an inferior quality. During a HIIT workout they even slacken!! I’m a 32FF. It looks cute and it’s ok for yoga but that’s about it.
So I ordered 3 different sizes and landed on a 32GG with this bra. I'm a 30H but with the two separate hook closures it was different. This bra will HOLD you in. There's no worry about spilling out or sore boobs after a workout. At least not for me. I love the colorway and the style. I'm thinking of getting the new one, but I don't like it as much as the original. This bra takes some getting used to when doing it up as well as when trying to figure out your size, but don't be discouraged because it's the best sports bra I've found. It doesn't dig into me. I don't feel suffocated by underwire or the amount of fabric. And it's really youthful and definitely pretty enough to wear on its own!
I am a 36GG and this is a fantastic sports bra for running. I was needing a pick me up to get me motivated and I honestly think this is so pretty that it was a shame to cover up with a t-shirt. What's more - the girls are controlled and held in place. The double hooks get a bit of getting used to but once it's on - I'm a happy bunny! Bring on the miles!
I bought the first Orbit bra, but found a fault with the plastic loops where the straps join the band at the back (they slipped vertical, rather than staying in place horizontally). It's been "resolved" with some stitching on the new version, although the loops still slip a bit and I think the better solution would be making the fabric that goes through the loops a bit wider. On sizing, I wear a 28GG bra, but with the first Orbit needed a 30GG. So I ordered a 30GG in the new colour, but it too big in the band, so I exchanged it for a 28H. I've been out for a run in it and I'm impressed with the support and comfort. I like the band across the top and that it's non-wired and compresses, but not too much.
This is a really great sports bra if you are looking for minimal support. I am usually a 28HH, although my left side is a touch larger. I tried both the 28J and 28HH and found the 28HH to be the better support although both would have been fine. My only two gripes are that the back is a bit loose and I have to secure in the middle of the clasp which may lessen the longevity of the bra and, like a previous reviewer, I would also like the bra to not have the open area at the front. However with that said, this may be the best sports bra I have used. It gives a fantastic minimised and streamlined aesthetic and really provides amazing support. More colour options in the 28HH sizing please!
I usually stick to favourite underwired brands which offer reliable support but I really didn’t know how to select a sports bra. I had a shop fitting, the assistants gave great advice and I selected the Orbit. It keeps me secure, I don’t bounce even when doing HIIT and the band across the top prevents any “bulging” when I bend over. The double fastenings at the back make me feel snug and pull the padded shoulder straps near the middle of my back. The thing I notice most is that I never need to adjust it during exercise. My advice would be to be fitted for this bra.
I was sceptical of trying a new sports bra after being a dedicated Shock Absorber wearer for the last ten years. However I have got fed up with the recent lowering of quality from Shock Absorber and wanted to try something else. I was advised by the Bravissimo team to try the Orbit. I would give it five stars but I am broad across the shoulders due to being a long time kayaker and getting the top set of hooks done up was a bit of a challenge when I first put it on. However the support is great and I actually feel as though I could run in this one. I love the minimising effect and the colour scheme is excellent - the brighter the better for me! I am going to be interested to see how long this bra lasts but, so far, I really like it. Well done Bravissimo!
