Description

All aboard! This nautical-inspired swimsuit was a best-selling style last summer, which lets you show off a little more cleavage than other styles (think of the tanning potential!) It has lightly padded cups which give you a great rounded shape and has the added advantage of smoothing tummy control. A great option whether you’re heading for a water park or running straight to the waves!

Supportive and Stylish

Purchased in store. My usual cup size of GG was a snug fit and I opted for the 34H. I am 5ft 6 and the body length was a good fit too. I use this for aqua aerobics and other pool games and found it to be fully supportive in the bust area helped by the underwire. The light padding prevented nipple show once wet too so I felt comfortable in water. I had a few people compliment the style of the item and the classic stripes of the material help shape the body well. Happy to recommend this item.

Nice addition to my summer wardrobe

I wanted a swimsuit with more cleavage than normally and it ticked that box. Although I am not 100% I would be jumping in it. But definitely great for walking :) Gave me a great sexy look while covering and controlling my tummy. For my height 5.5'', the body length feels alright. I like the pattern and choice of colours. Material is nice to touch.

Initially lovely, but poor quality

This wouldn't normally be my kind of thing - I'm not normally a plunge-shape wearer and would go for something a bit brighter for my summer swimwear, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on: the shape and fit of this is lovely and really flattering - much better than last year's plunge swimsuit. Sadly, after four wears on holiday, one of the wires came out and the outer fabric had become really baggy around my tummy and in the cups of the swimsuit. As a result what started out looking fabulous now looks terrible and isn't really fit for purpose.

Nice cossy

As other reviews note, this style is rather long in the body, which might not be an issue the taller you are, however it does feel slightly baggy around the bottom for less leggy gals like me! Could do with doing a Petite and Standard length in this perhaps? Loved the style and the suit itself was really comfortable on the hour long swim I did yesterday in it. Cups were supportive and although very plungy, with the straps tightened to the max I felt secure. Followed Bravissimo's swimsuit fitting guide to select right size for me and it seems to have done the trick. All in all very pleased so far - but feel it really does need to come in a standard and petite length.

If only I was taller...

Had great support which made you feel safe, without fear of slipping out. I didn't like the pattern across my tummy though, which made me look bigger than I am. I'm only 5"2 with a pretty flat bum, and there was so much fabric left over, width and length. I fitted on top lovely, but the rest felt oversized. It was wearable but after a few washes I could see that it would be too big for me, so I've had to return it.

I really like the look of this swimsuit I'm undecided on whether to keep it or not - I felt secure and it looks and feels great but it seems slightly long in the body. My worry is once wet it'll bag or sag? I've tried the Venice one too and that's the same but not as nice a fit in the cups. The Amalfi seems much better...my 5ft 6 so I expected it to fit me snugly. Undecided will try on again.

Too long

Really liked the design of this swimsuit but it as another reviewer mentioned, it is too long in the body. I'm 5'6" and there was a lot of excess fabric.

Good Quality But Not For Me

Review published on:

Customer rating:3 out of 5 stars

The Good: The Swimsuit is true to size (got my usual Bravissimo size). It is made with a thick fabric and seems to be quite good quality The Bad: I'm very petite (5'0), so there was some excess fabric on the bottom of the suit, but I imagine that's due to my height, and that the length of the swimsuit won't be a problem for ladies who are taller/of average height. It is very plunge-y, a bit too much for my comfort. I usually wear the Satine Bras, and I would say this is lower than the Satines. I felt that I was at risk of 'popping out' due to the very deep plunge. May be good for a very sexy look, but I felt too self-conscious for it. The cups are molded, but they didn't seem to provide enough support, in that I still jiggled around quite a bit by simply walking in the suit. I'm in two minds about the fabric - it's a fairly pretty colour of light blue and white stripes, but there's a 'faded' pattern to the stripes, which I didn't really like. Plus I have a bit of a tummy, and the stripes seemed to accentuate it. It's a pretty suit and seems good quality, but I'm not suited for it's length, would be too bothered by the plunge, and I'm not fond of the stripes. Will be returning.
