Well after asking for a voucher to get myself a new swimsuit for my birthday (April) I am still yet to find one that cuts the mustard! I am unfortunate not to live near a store, Cornwall is neglected in many ways not just in the shopping dept if you have big boobs! Anyway I have received about my 6th swimsuit which I am still not satisfied with, but have bought many from Bravissimo in the past. Either they seem to be too revealing or too long or baggy in the body, and believe me I am no slim jim especially as I am a 36/38 H. This costume was amazing around the bust which the others haven't been but mega baggy on the bum. Maybe I am weird size but starting to get quite frustrated as my old costume is slowly disintegrating!
It might be a bit difficult to get in on your own, but once it's on, you're good! Very good fit for someone who is short and has a big bum. It's got good support for the breasts without making a big deal out of them. Swimming in this swimsuit is comfortable, and walking around in it makes me feel great, because it's so pretty! The only negatives is that it's not exactly possible to put it on alone - you've got to bring someone with you, or ask someone random for help - and that the shoulder straps could've been a little bit wider.
The 36G fitted very well but I found the brightly coloured band under the boobs very unflattering so I returned it.
I love this swimsuit! I had a mastectomy and breast reconstruction 6 years ago. I am 64. Shaping, support and cover are very, very important to me! This swimsuit flatters my shape and makes me feel confident in the pool. I swim fairly seriously twice a week; this swimsuit stays in place perfectly. It's easy to put on and take off too! I've only had it a couple of weeks, I don't know how it will stand up to the chlorine, but I will definitely get another one!
I’m 176cm (5’ 9”) and a top heavy 36HH. This suit fits like a glove. Now on my 3rd incarnation as I can’t find anything else to better it. A couple of criticisms: it does fade from chlorine exposure, even with rinsing. Be sure to wash it in a bra bag to minimise damage to the mesh bra which is quite delicate. The straps could be a touch wider and it could be cut a bit higher at the top, but that is a minor niggle. Also, please bring back the black and silver version, we don’t all want pink/turquoise/purple stuff.
For reference, I'm 5'4" and fairly curvy 10/12 with a 30F bra size. I tried the 30F and 32E but both were far too short in the torso - meaning the strip below your breasts was just above my waist. I also really struggled to close the back on this suit (it wasn't the wrong size, just didn't seem easy for a right-handed person maybe?) - I mean it took me like 10 minutes and had me wondering if I was crazy. Just not right for me due to both issues. Given that I'm not tall and barely average height I was surprised how how short this was in the torso. Also, i've got full hips so found the bottom half fit well, but it seems weird to me for a suit to only have a bra size - after all I can't buy underwear bottoms based on my breast size. Glad there are larger busted options but clearly we need sizing options for the rest of the suit as well. The suit was beautiful otherwise and seemed quite good quality unfortunately the short torso and difficult clasp were deal breakers. If you have a short torso and are curvy you may find this works for you.
I got this swimwear this morning and put it to the test this afternoon . I had a similar style previously. But underwire did not last long in the stitching. This swimsuit seems better made. I love the shape and support it gives . I’m a size 16 and bought a 34GG , it is a little tricky to squeeze over my hips but once on it’s perfect and easy to fasten at the back. Thank you for the lovely style ( I had been wearing a swimsuit with a non wired support... I felt I had less support and left me with a mono boob!) So happy I invested in this one .. encourage me to swim more often x
I have been buying these swimsuits for several years having tried plenty of others bravissimo have in their range and I love the support and look it gives me and other ladies in my aqua class and around the pool often complement me and ask where I get them from. I used to have the 34FF when I was a 32FF. I am 5ft 1inch and there is a bit of extra length in the body but my hips were 40 inches so probably some of the length was taken out by the width needed. I lost some weight last year and now am 30FF and buy 32 FF swimsuit and it still is a good fit. I have a little bum so have no trouble with the costume riding up. I've not experienced the water collecting in the bum area and I swim in a pool twice a week. It lasts quite a good length of time if looked after as recommended. I never use the spinning machine at the pool to dry it out as I think this messes up the fabric and encourages the wires to poke out, but wrap it in a towel to dry before taking it home to wash.
