Finding practical swimsuits is the bane of my existence. Which is why I am so happy to have found this one. I cant comment on it as a training swimsuit, but can highly recommend it as a swimsuit that holds everything in if you want to be a bit active in the surf or around a pool. The only negative I have is that I bought it at the full price just before it went on sale :(
Really nice and practical swimsuit. I have not experienced any drag through the water. The suit is a good body length (I am only 5' 2" but have a longer body) and really easy to put on and fasten at the back as the clasp is a decent size to work with. A bit annoyed that reduced by £15 only days after I have paid full price!
I swim laps at least weekly for the last 9 years, and these have been my go-to swimmers- I'm onto about my sixth pair. Intermittently try other styles, but no other makes the grade. Supportive. Allows lap swimming without adjustments. Holds up in a heavily chlorinated outdoor pool (I always hand rinse- they last about a season with regular use). Right size and you don't flash ample cleavage to the guy in the next lane. I haven't felt the same 'drag' issue other reviewer mentioned, but I wear a rashy for sun protection a lot of swims anyway, so it may be all relative. Bottom doesn't feel baggy, but having put on weight it does now ride up my bottom (I plan to buy the next band size up with my next pair which fits with what is happening with my bras). I wear my cup and band size. The decorations under the bust doesn't wow me, so I keep a 'pretty' pair of swimmers for social/holidays.
I bought this costume at the weekend, fed up looking lumpy in my normal Speedo I decided to give the underwire version a go. I’m 5ft 8” and wear a 12/14 and a 34GG. It’s a brilliant fit and looks amazing, I mean it actually gives shape and support. Unfortunately I swim a mile a day (64 lengths) and found the costume heavy, it seems to hold water at the bust and crotch area, giving a drag effect which was quite off putting. I will persevere and see if I get used to it, or see if perhaps as the costume softens and ages it might expel water easier. Other than that I will keep it for kayaking and go back to my old lumpy Speedo.
Well after asking for a voucher to get myself a new swimsuit for my birthday (April) I am still yet to find one that cuts the mustard! I am unfortunate not to live near a store, Cornwall is neglected in many ways not just in the shopping dept if you have big boobs! Anyway I have received about my 6th swimsuit which I am still not satisfied with, but have bought many from Bravissimo in the past. Either they seem to be too revealing or too long or baggy in the body, and believe me I am no slim jim especially as I am a 36/38 H. This costume was amazing around the bust which the others haven't been but mega baggy on the bum. Maybe I am weird size but starting to get quite frustrated as my old costume is slowly disintegrating!
It might be a bit difficult to get in on your own, but once it's on, you're good! Very good fit for someone who is short and has a big bum. It's got good support for the breasts without making a big deal out of them. Swimming in this swimsuit is comfortable, and walking around in it makes me feel great, because it's so pretty! The only negatives is that it's not exactly possible to put it on alone - you've got to bring someone with you, or ask someone random for help - and that the shoulder straps could've been a little bit wider.
The 36G fitted very well but I found the brightly coloured band under the boobs very unflattering so I returned it.
I love this swimsuit! I had a mastectomy and breast reconstruction 6 years ago. I am 64. Shaping, support and cover are very, very important to me! This swimsuit flatters my shape and makes me feel confident in the pool. I swim fairly seriously twice a week; this swimsuit stays in place perfectly. It's easy to put on and take off too! I've only had it a couple of weeks, I don't know how it will stand up to the chlorine, but I will definitely get another one!
