I was at first really happy with this nightdress. In particular, it's pretty, something I don't often see with nighdresses. The support left something to be desired, but I'm going to be sleeping in it, not running marathons so wasn't too concerned by that. However, I soon noticed that every time I wore it to bed, I'd wake up with a headache. I am prone to headaches anyway so it took me a while to make the connection. The racerback design takes the straps straight across the muscle as it goes up the neck, which is a pressure point that causes headaches if you're prone to them. So I've had to stop wearing it. I am planning to try to modify it so the straps cross the shoulders further out, but I'll need to buy some bra making parts to do that, and not everyone has the skills for that. Overall a lot of money for something I can't wear without breaking out the sewing machine.
I was desperate for a new nightie but this style was the only one available in my size, so I thought that I'd give it a go, despite preferring something with more coverage. I'm a bit of a weird size - a 32 G/GG in a dress size 14, so I ordered a 34G on the advice to buy a bigger band size- which was spot on as its a 'pull on' style. Plus points, gorgeous colour and more supportive than I thought it would be, (although I do suspect that there would be 'fall out' for side sleepers). Minus points, not a flattering style on more generous cup sizes, this would be great on the Bravissimo girls who are, shall we say, a little more on the 'perky' side and in the smaller dress sizes. 'Long cleavage' is not a good look. Nor are 'back rolls' from the racer back. Sadly, sending it back, but I would buy something else in this colour. Just really, really want a nice coloured nightie (not black or pastels) with good coverage and support, and in my size.
I've seen so many reviews saying you have to be a contortionist to get this on and off. You don't - you just step into it and adjust (easy) instead of pulling it over your head (impossible)! I'm a 36/38H, and 38H isn't available so I bought the mauve in 38GG and the burgundy in 36H. I'd definitely say go up a band size. In the larger band size this is a really comfortable nightie and great for a bit of support in the morning. With the smaller band size it looks stunning but not practical to sleep in (I 'fall out' in the night).
Just got this in and am wearing it for the first time. I truly love it! I’ve been looking for a night dress that doesn’t make me look frumpy and I’m so thankful I’ve found it! It has great support and the material is soft. I usually wear a 32/34 FF/G depending on the style. I ordered a 36 FF in this and am very pleased. Glad I went up in the band size because I think it would be difficult to get over your head if it were too tight.
I love this nightdress. Never did I think I'd find a sexy nighty that supported me. My boobs are secure and the dress is not too tight and a good length. I'd love to buy more. There is another review that mentions they'd like a long version and I agree that would be lovely for winter.
I have a number of this style of tops because I absolutely LOVE the style! I can seriously say this is THE first nightwear that I have felt can make me feel that I look sexy. I have one nightie too, but it is very short in length. I wish it was a bit longer. But more than that, I dream of them bringing out a full length nightie version. This would be especially wonderful for the winter, and would be lush in say, the navy, or this rich burgundy. Please, please, please bring out a full length nightie version!
It's a nice nightie but It clings in all the wrong places, also having to constantly adjust my boobs into the dress. They fall out at night and it's more of a chore to wear than anything.
I was excited to find a night dress that didn’t sling my boobs together. They get hot enough when separated. My husband liked this but agreed it wouldn’t be any good for sleeping as there wasn’t enough support. I am fairly flexible and found it not easy to put on but nothing to the problem of taking it off! Sadly returned.
