Perfect for proper swimming!

Review published on:

Customer rating:5 out of 5 stars

I have tried many different swimsuits/sets since my previous Zoggs Bravissimo tankini died. Until this swimsuit I have not found anything that fits so well and, most importantly, stays snug and in place during proper exercise swimming. I had been nervous to try a swimsuit as I am 5'11" tall but, after a snug first two swims it gave and fits perfectly. I have started swimming in an exercise pool against a jet and this suit stays snug even in the face of water jets. Will definitely get it in the other colour too. Fully recommend it!

Nice but didn't hold colour

I really liked this costume and style. I had to size up, as my normal size was very small. I swim a lot as have been training for an event, but within a few weeks, the coloured bands had completely lost their colour and faded to grey. I purchased the same suit again as I thought I'd been unlucky. So far it's OK, but I've only been sea swimming in it. I don't hold out much hope of the colour surviving the swimming pool. Bit disappointing for such a nice costume, that was not cheap.

Long and baggy

Review published on:

While it fits really well in the chest, this swimsuit is way too long and baggy on the hips for someone of my height (5 foot 2). Pity, as it seems like a good quality sports swimsuit.

Good sports swimsuit

So far, this is holding up well to the chlorine etc. Sizing runs quite small in the cup - I could really have gone up at least one cup size, but due to the lack of wires and wanting to use it I just opted to keep the size I got. Perhaps as a result of this, I found it to be quite flattening which isn't the best of looks - although at least it keeps everything under control when trying to swim lengths! The 36 seems to be a fairly true to size 14/16 in the body and, as others have mentioned, quite short (but as I have a short torso this is one of the things which attracted me to this swimsuit). It has a nice low leg and good coverage. Not particularly stylish, but for the intended purpose of swimming for fitness it's ideal.

Not a good fit for me

Review published on:

Customer rating:1 out of 5 stars

I'm 5ft 3 and with not a particularly long body this was just too short for me. I sized up in the back, down in the cup but I still looked squished in, I didn't even try on my normal size as it looked like a childs suit. I found the Brisbane a much better fit. I also have the Speedo premier ultimate.

Good coverage

I wish Bravissimo would show a rear view of swimsuits. Anyway this covers your bottom well. I agree shorter than other Zoggs swimsuuts. I'm not a huge fan of padding but it doesn't interfere with my swimming.

Not Lasted

I like this swimsuit as I don't have to struggle with a bra fastening. You have to play around a bit with the foam inserts -jiggle to get a smooth look , but I am wearing it to swim lengths not sunbath! I swim 3 times a week but after 4 months, despite always rinsing , the 2 lighter stripes bits have gone all blotchy ,my previous Mark's and Spencers suit lasted much longer!

Supportive but unsightly

Review published on:

Customer rating:2 out of 5 stars

I bought this as I planned to start swimming again to lose weight/tone up. It fits really well, is comfortable, and is incredibly supportive. HOWEVER, the padded circular inserts that have been stitched into the bra front are incredibly unsightly. They are noticeable when the swimsuit is dry and even more apparent when wet. They draw the eye to your chest. I bought this swimsuit to be not noticeable and to not highlight my boobs. I am happy with the support the suit provides when I swim laps, but in no way would I recommend this if you are going to be sunbathing/on holiday. You will not feel attractive in it at all. I would rather have had my nipples poke out than have padded inserts stitched in, you can't even unstitch to remove them.
