Description

This non-wired swimsuit, which is based on the popular Brisbane style, has cross over straps at the back that pull you in for a little extra support. The bra-sized inner cups are non-padded and are made of firm mesh to keep you secure. This swimsuit is made from Ecolast™ fabric which is produced using recycled fish netting and other ocean materials, so you can feel secure, stylish and confident that you’re doing your bit for the environment!

This style comes up big, so we’d suggest trying a cup size smaller than usual but keeping the back size the same.

Disappointed with shape.

After having Brisbane suits for years, and them going out of stock, I needed another suit. I bought this one, before any of the reviews came up. I trusted the sizing that the Brisbane had, since they look so alike. Even going down two cup sizes from ,y regular bra, the top is very wide, which makes it rub under my arms, the finishing is sloppy with more material in the breast area than the bra needed. Front feels short and low, back far too long. Unfortunately, I waited to long to look at the suit, and with it taking long in the post it was too late to return. I really hope the Brisbane model can come back.

Love the new material

I bought this when they came out, so no reviews available. But kept using my old Brisbane model until it needed replacing with this. For me Seduna is an improvement on Brisbane! This new fabric has a much nicer feel to it and I find it glides well so helps when putting it on. Due to a left sided disability I am very one handed so can't do clasp fastenings on my back (I fasten bras in front and pull round), so I appreciate this model. I also find the cross straps helps keep it perfectly in place (my left shoulder hangs a bit so a normal strap falls down). I find the bra inside this model is easier to get to sit correctly when I pull it on. I think this model is slightly higher up in my armpits with gives a nicer coverage of the chest, but due to that I think it would have felt too tight if I had chosen a smaller cup size (which I didn't because I don't think it was mentioned in the description when I bought it online). It is tight around the hips when I pull it on but I find it easy enough to pull on with one hand, to be honest I always find them tighter when they are new and I know I am heavier now compared to the past. When I look in the mirror the fit is perfect (when I look down I can see what people mean about slightly loose fabric at the front but that doesn't show in the mirror), the bra inside it seems perfect size. I would certainly buy this style again since I think the fabric is a great improvement, it feels great to swim in, follows my movements (not too tight anywhere). Only reason I have deducted 1 star in style is that I don't really like the pale pink colour, so keeping my fingers crossed for another colour combination next time.

Proper swimsuit

Although this looks very like the old Zoggs Brisbane, the change in fabric means it feels quite different. The hips are tighter and smaller while the bust area is more generous. I wear a 34J bra but always go up to a 36H for swimsuits as I have a generous bottom. This suit actually fits me better than the old Brisbane, with less loose fabric on my lower half, although I agree with earlier reviews that I have to wiggle a little to get the suit over my hips. The bra size is much better for me, with the internal bra support now a great fit. However, there is a bit too much loose fabric on the outer shell over the bust- I suspect this is deliberate as the fabric is quite clingy and might be a little too revealing if it was tighter. This loose fabric over the bust means that the look of the suit isn't perfect but it is a very comfortable suit to swim in, no rubs or chafing even on a very long swim. For me, this is what a swimsuit is all about- thank you, Bravissimo and Zoggs! Plus point- seems to be washing better so far than the fabric in the Brisbane, but I'll keep you posted on this.

Too much gathering on bust

Review published on:

Customer rating:2 out of 5 stars

I had bought a Zoggs swimsuit from Bravissimo a few years ago and was very pleased with it, so of course I was expecting the same. For me, this costume is not a good fit in the bust. I took the advice and ordered a cup size smaller, the body is a great fit but the bust area is too gathered and doesn’t look great sadly.

Very tight round hips

I am disappointed in this as I loved the Brisbane and expected the fit to be the same as the design is similar. I struggle to get it up over my bum/hips without help, although it’s snug and supportive, and good round the boobs, once I have it on. Also, either I am gradually gaining weight, or it has shrunk a little as it seemed harder to put on the 2nd and 3rd time than the first. I bought the 36H and might try buying a 38.

Too tight on hips!

Review published on:

Customer rating:2 out of 5 stars

Thought this would be a great replacement for my tired and fading Brisbane swimsuit, but sadly it was so tight I could not even get the bra part over my hips! Whilst I found it mildly entertaining that my hips are apparently bigger than my boobs, it’s such a shame because I much prefer wire-free for swimming.

Nearly perfect

Having had a Zoggs swimsuit in the past I was optimistic that this would be a good fit. I found that the lack of a clasp makes it quite a wiggle to get over your hip and that I will need shoulder adjustments to keep it more modest. The seams also meant that I had a more pointy shape than I like!

Great swimsuit but beware the cup size

Review published on:

The cups on this are giant. I'm a 28GG, so first tried a 30G but ended up with a 30F, which I haven't bought since pre baby #2! Otherwise it's a nice fit, very snug and comfortable. The non-padded cups don't offer huge support, so I wouldn't recommend for aqua-aerobics, but it's fantastic for lane swimming and much easier to wring out afterwards. The material is less stretchy than their Sandon one - I have to wriggle it a bit over my hips, but it's fine once on. I'm a fairly straight build though, so might be an issue for someone with more hips than I have. Speaking of the Zoggs Sandon, I found that way too short in the body - the straps felt like they were cutting my shoulders off - but the Seduna is just right for me (I'm 5 ft 6" and average-to-short in the body).
