Initially this dress fitted like a glove and was true to size and the right length without being too long ( I’m 5’3’’). However it is not lined. The internal seams were really itchy when I moved and the dress felt cheap and nasty, so I had to return it. I expect better from Bravisimo, and for the price it should have a lining, even if it is now in the sale. Bravisimo, please make more dresses in this style, but don’t cut corners by not putting in a lining.
Wow! I felt a million dollars in this dress. I knew as soon as I tried it on that it looked good and once I wore it in to work, my self confidence soared. I had so many people tell me how nice I looked. It fitted me like a glove. The fabric is a bit stiff but it felt robust rather than uncomfortable. I’m super short (5” 0’), so this came below my knee but was still very flattering on my hobbit like figure. The only gripe I have is that despite it being fully zipped up, my long hair got slightly caught up, in the top teeth of the chunky zip. Nothing major but the odd tug on my hair during the day as I moved about. I would buy this dress in every colour they had. I love it.
Happy to report that this dress fits me perfectly. It is well made with a fabric weight that is neither too heavy or too light. The length is ideal for my 5' 4" frame. It's one of several items I've bought since recently discovering this company (through a Facebook ad). I am so happy to now have a place to buy clothes that actually fit my body that are also well made, stylish, and a pleasure to wear. This dress is all those things.
I was so happy to find this in the sale. It's a great work dress that also looks stylish. The waist sat in the right place on me so I didn't have any problems there.
The pic looks lovely but the dress doesn't quite come up to that standard, though it is a near miss. The skirt is fitted and I thought a bit too generous at the lower hip, with the result that I ended up with dog ears--the overall appearance there was a bit like a pair of those old German military jods and not particularly flattering! The fit over the bust is generous on me (36D) and given that the material is quite stiff and has a strong tendency to hold its shape, resulted in an unattractive bag forming under my boobs. Oh, and one last warning, if you wear it without a slip, the zip is metal and will startle you every time you lean back, it gets so cold. If the material has been slightly lighter (in a slightly stretchy woollen material it would have been a real hit) and the cut hadn't been so odd, it would have been a winner.
I loved this dress on the hanger and really wanted it to fit but the shape was just not right for me. The waistband sat too low which made by boobs look like they filled the whole gap between the high neckline and the waist! Not for me, unfortunately.
This dress is a great style for me. It really shows off my curves and looks elegant in the office. I got lots of compliments (and an invite for a date) wearing it. I am short 5.3 - the waste band looks perfect on me. It might not look the same on a tall person.
I love the look of this dress and really wanted to treat myself to it to update my work wardrobe. Unfortunately it is a very odd fit on me... The waist band sits too low(!) and that's extremely unflattering... Gutted...
