Band issues

Review published on:

Customer rating:2 out of 5 stars

The bra is a good size and shape for me and was very comfortable initially but after wearing it for a few hours the band rolled up and started to dig in leaving me with deep, sore red marks. It now rolls up as soon as I put it on and digs in even after a short time. If it had a normal band it would be 5 stars, as it is, I can’t recommend it.

I really wanted better for this bra.

The band rolls up almost instantly, the only way I can get it to stay in place is if I hold my breath, any movement and it rolls up! Also the band really really cuts into my skin when it's rolled up. I'll have huge red marks on me after. The cups of the bra are fine, I like the style of it but it doesn't fit my full on bottom and close set breast that well. When I do a scoop and swoop the tops of the cups give a little quad boob but any size up is just loose with no support.

Itchy and unsupportive :(

The straps were somehow really itchy and the bra overall was really unsupportive :(

Band is itchy, seams show under shirt

This bra fits similar to the Cleo Lyzy Triangle (I own two). I'm a full-on-bottom, center full, projected girl, so I know this triangle style is not the perfect style for my boobs, but I find the Lyzy very comfortable for around the house and running errands but still looks cute. Overall, I like the bra. I feel supported, even if I get wrinkling in the upper part of the cups, but the band is itchy and the seams can be seen through shirts. But it's lightweight and good for summer, unlike some of my other wirefree bras. I'm hoping I'll adjust to the band. Straps are great, plenty of room to shorten. If you're very long between shoulders and bust, then the straps might be too short for you. The tag says 30F/FF/FFF - which, I don't know how it's possible to hit all those sizes. It's definitely a 30F. A 30FF would definitely get some quadding.

Not the best

Review published on:

I bought this because it looked like a good band and that it might actually fit like the picture. It also looks lovely. As a 38J/JJ I think I have to resign myself to never having a comfortable bra. I just want a non-wired bra where the band doesn't roll up and the shoulder straps are thick enough to be comfortable but I can still wear nice tops. I am not bothered about how perky my boobs are just a small amount of support to give them a little bit less of a swinging free style would be good. For the amount of money us larger boobs have to pay I expect better.

Ups and downs

Review published on:

The cups are so soft and hold shape really well really comfy and feel supportive. The band was a bit itchy but something you get used to. However, the band, while pretty, does roll up for me whenever I move. Will be wearing this a lot though it is a good non-wired bra, and it's exciting to have a bralette for the first time.

Temper your Expectations

Review published on:

Customer rating:3 out of 5 stars

I knew that a bralette in my size was going to be a big ask to begin with, so my expectations weren't too high going into this. However, I was hopeful, seeing the model in the photo appearing to be as well supported as you'd expect to see from an underwired bra. I do love the style of this. It's simple, understated, and the peekhole at the gore, along with the striped sheer band, are wonderful details. Unfortunately, without wires or other stiff support, this bra doesn't really make best use of those elements. Although this may be because, as I have noticed with Curvy Kate bras in the past, their bands and straps tend to be so elastic that it compromises how supportive they are. Firstly, I'll say that the band is stretchy enough I was able to slip this on over my head without unfastening the band. Due to how stretchy the shoulder straps are, my breasts sag enough in this that the cute open peekhole in the gore is folded over against my stomach. And the pretty striped mesh band rolls up on itself instantly, becoming a concealed sausage. This also means most of the support comes from the shoulders, which are not made of the softest material I've had against my skin and therefore pinch a little. With all that, I have a serious quadbood situation going on with the cups, and I unfortunately cannot recommend this. I'll accept less support for greater comfort, as I do when I wear elasticated sports crop tops as bras for manual labour, and I'll accept more support for less comfort, as I do every time I wear an underwire. But I see no reason to accept both less support and less comfort. Sad to say I'll be returning this. Although it may work well for Bravissimo customers on the smaller end of things (say up to an E?) or who have broad-rooted breasts that are reasonably self-supporting. Those of us with more pendulous chests will need to stick with underwires for now.

Really comfy!

I have 34G boobs and this is supportive and comfy. I just with there were more colours as I don’t get on with t shirt bra styles without underwires.
