PanacheWired Sports Bra

4.2 out of 5 starsfrom a total of 225 reviewsRead all reviews

This best-selling underwired sports bra is a great option for lots of Bravissimo girls who want to beat the bounce. As well as being super supportive, it is really comfortable as the underwires are encased in gel, there are cushioned straps and there's padding over the hook and eye at the back. The inner cups are moulded so they’re smooth next to your skin, too. The underwires give a rounded, separated shape that looks great under sportswear or by itself. You also have the choice to wear the straps as they are or clip together as a racerback which can make you feel even more secure.

Very disappointed

Bought in Storm in January but only started using it recently. Just like some of the other reviewers I found out that the bra is just not durable. The banding and wires have ripped through the outer material in the bra and therefore the material is all ripped along the inside. This happened in one uncomfotable gym session. I have contacted bravissimo and I'm hoping to get the bra replaced or to get a refund. I think there is clearly a fault with the design. Very disappointed considering the price.

cushiony cloud support

This bra is like having supportive cushiony clouds wrapped around your bosom. Loved it from the first! The racer back option means you have to extend the straps a bit which can be a bit of a hassle, but racer back styles have never fit me right anyway, so perhaps it's just me.

Perfect size

When I wanted to buy this sports bra, I asked one of the what size would be best for me since most of the reviews said it was too big. I went a size down, but when I got it it was too small. So I exchanged it to my actual size and it fits perfectly.

Great fit but not durable

Customer rating:3 out of 5 stars

I own four of these sports bras, all in a 32J. They are great at the beginning, support the bust well and provide a good shape under gym wear. However, after a few months the under wires pop out and end up digging into me. Very uncomfortable and painful. If you do high impact sport or workout 3-5 times a week. These sports bras will last 3-5 months approx, especially if you have very large and heavy breast like me. If Panache can do something about reinforcing the wires so they don’t pierce through the fabric after a few wears, that would be ideal. I think I’ve given up on this sports bra and won’t be purchasing anymore. It’s a shame as the fit is great.

About time!

I have played high level netball for many years and had to put up with wearing 2 bras! I purchased this bra in the hope it would bring the support I need as a 36E/F and it works! Back to one bra and it’s amazing! I was nearly at the point of thinking nobody will bring it but Panache you certainly brought it for me! Thank you!!!!

Bring on the quickstep!

I’m absolutely delighted with this bra. I initially ordered a cup size down from my usual size after reading all the reviews but the 32FF was too small in the cup. I spoke to the lovely ladies on the helpline to organise an exchange (those ladies are soooo helpful!) A 32G arrived within a week and it fits beautifully. It’s really supportive and comfortable and looks very feminine and less “sporty” than most sports bras (the black lace effect is loooovely!) It also gives a great shape without flattening my boobs. I personally think this bra is great if you have quite a high bust line (like I do) as the moulded cups seem to sit quite high. Can’t wait to try it out when I go hiking...and in my dance lessons...we’ll be starting the QUICKSTEP very soon...gonna need to keep my girls in check for that so I don’t give my blokey black eyes!!

It’s okay

I’m a 38G or GG depending. I used to love this bra but lately I’ll have it for about a month or two and the wire is already coming out on the side. I was all for this bra until when I started buying more the wires just kept coming out.

Prefer the non-wired version

Review published on:

Customer rating:1 out of 5 stars

I bought this wired sports bra in three different colours a few years ago. I only trained once a week back then, and the bras were great for this. I however switched up to training three times a week and I bought an additional non-wired version, which was superb as well. However, only recently, I've noticed some bruising from on the far side of my breasts on either side. I asked the doctor who said that the bruising is from the wires, and since I train more these days, it could be from the impact of loads of movement. I'm really sad about this, and even though the bruises are small - I'd prefer if there were no bruises. I was rather surprised by this, so I've immediately stopped wearing the wired sports bras. I would have assumed that these bras are tested for impact, but what the doctor says makes sense, as the wire seems to stop somewhere halfway, exactly the point where I have bruises. I'm going to be ordering the non-wired sports bras going forward. I'm still sad and disappointed though, as I didn't expect bruising from these bras :-(
