Love this bra, it was my first non moulded. I am quite short 5,1 even though I am in my correct size it pluckers slightly due to my straps being tightened so much. It gives me great support and shape. I always feel very good in it. I love the colours but would like to see some darker colours if possible. It is quite stretchy so accomadates my bigger boob great without much difference. I get a great forward facing shape and nicely rounded. The lace is so soft and does not show too much under clothing. Great bra which I'd love to see in other colours please!!
This is the best Bravissimo bra I've had in ages! More please! This is a very promising shape, with unfortunate bad HH and J cups. Excellent for: Narrow backs with very full (top and bottom) and rounded forward facing and close sitting breasts that need narrow wires and deep cups with forward projection. If this is not your shape, you probably won't agree with my review. :-) Good points (not HH cups and above): The lace on the cups genuinely is stretchy, so you don't get that lace edge digging in to full centre busts. The band is tight and supportive, but because of the lace it doesn't cut into your back. The wires are some of the narrowest I've ever had from Bravissimo - fantastic! The wires comes around the breast roots instead of far under the side beyond the armpit - well done! The cup shape is genuinely forward facing - I can (almost) swing my arms without being obstructed by boobs! Excellent shape under clothes - no maximising or east-west bonanza (Satine, anyone?), just a nice cake on a plate look. Cup shape is genuinely uplifting. Bad points: The larger cup sizes has a wholly different shape. Stiff fabric, high, wide and uncomfy wires, cups with odd shape (sort a mix between a cone and flat with dents), wires/cups digging into armpits, no give in the lace, all in all an uncomfy and ugly bra in 28HH and 28J, but a lovely and comfortable bra in 28H. I tried on 28H, 28HH and 28J in store. The first one was 28H. It was soo nice - nicely rounded and a fitted shape but too small in the cups. 28HH was horrid. 28J was a joke. They both were very different and ill-fitting compared with 28H, and because of the bad shape and unflexible material, they didn't even have more room in the cup! Quadra-boob galore! I snuck the 28H past the fitter (I knew she wouldn't have let me buy a too-small-in-the-cups-bra - but beggars can't be choosers when something has the right shape) and bought the 28H, and will buy more because the shape is the best in ages! More!
A nice classic Bravissimo balconette shape, slight ski-slope like Candy Bliss. Material not quite as expected (it looks like microfibre in the pics, especially the blue one!) Quite firm though. I found the cups a little small so I would perhaps size up if you can if you're above a G cup (?) as the lace is not stretchy in larger sizes so maybe that's why it feels a bit small (I can't as I'd need JJ or K and it only goes up to J!) I also need a smaller back size but that's just me (I'm in-between 30 and 32) If it's any help to anyone, the centre front is a bit lower than Layla and Erin. Also it's quite a dark 'coral' colour but actually works quite well as a 'Nude' under pinky/peach clothes and/or tanned or darker skin. The lace isn't too bumpy either (I'm disappointed I can't get it in a larger cup as I'm having trouble getting a suitable nude/tee shirt bra)
I went into store to recheck my sizing and had this as a new style to try. I absolutely love it for the lift and shape I get. So much so that I have just ordered another online in the other colour. I also like the matching briefs - a good fit which stay put! I find that the Bravissimo brand bras fit me very well but do not have the same fit with Freya. Would love to see even more colours in this style.
Oh Bravissimo, what were you thinking? I ordered this in both 30HH and 30J, confident that one would fit, particularly given the promise of stretchy lace, but it was not to be: like the previous reviewer, I found that the lace DOES NOT STRETCH because of the lining that has been sewn to the back of it. The result is an unattractive line across the top of the breast and a bra-cup that seems to be trying to push my boobs downwards rather than up! As with the awful 'sleep' bra, the designers/manufacturers of Mia don't seem to have understood the brief (pardon the pun). I simply don't understand how Bravissimo can have made such an error, particularly given the bragging about the wonders of a stretchy lace fit, in the product description.
Being a big fan of the Panache Envy & Jasmine bras with the stretch lace top cups I was really excited to see this one from Bravissimo, I visited the Manchester store to try it on but was really disappointed to find that in larger cup sizes that there is no stretch at all in the top cup due to the additional lining so found the fit not to be as good as the cup was digging in at the top. The stretch lace in the smaller cup sizes however is how I expected it to be. It's a real shame as the bra itself is lovely and the colour really vibrant but this was not for me sadly.
