I would say I am that person with the half-size problems. Think, my perfect shoe size is 5-1/2 yet it is difficult to find so I end up buying either a 5 which could be a bit small or 6 a bit too big.
Same as a bra cup size.
I always believed I was around 36 or 38 C or D. I have a full bust.
I tried for a long time to replace existing bras. Gone to M&S who came up with only 2 styles to choose from although the fit wasn't perfect. Gave up with Debenhams, John Lewis & House of Fraser. None will measure these days so it was from looking & none of their bras were suitable. Either the cup slightly small so I spilled out, or slightly big so space at the top. THINK half size!! I don't understand why ALL cups don't offer this before a D which is DD?
Out of desperation I thought I'd try Bravissimo since I know they specialise in full bust sizes. Having tried on a few, the Charlotte fitted as perfect as I could want. I like the netting above the cups which give a fuller cup look so I don't fall out, & find the straps very comfortable. Doing up is a bit tight but being a bit overweight doesn't help as well as the bra rolling a bit under the bust but that is why. I also like how the side is cut & isn't near my arm pit as I am aware of pulling down when they are.
Avoided underwired as I fear if not in a perfect position the wire will either dig into my armpit, or the side of the breast which could be dangerous.
I was surprised I ended up with 38E but as it is comfortable, I would consider buying another, if it is reduced from £28 which is more than I would usually pay, but it is comfortable & I would recommend.
