Bought in nude.

This bra is so supportive and true to size. The mint one will be my next purchase, looks so pretty :)

I love this bra and have bought it for a few years now but like other reviewers I am fed up of the wire coming through after only a short time. I returned my last one to the store to discuss but was told I had probably laundered it wrong. I accept the washing instructions say 'hand wash' and I put mine in a mesh laundry bag and wash in the machine at 30 degrees ..... So this is why the wires come through?? Surely not. I am probably going to give up on the Alana purely for this reason.

I have been buying this bra for a while now and find it fits well. However, I have experienced similar issues with the wire poking out of the top of the bra after a couple of months, despite careful hand washing. Efforts to sew it back in have not been successful. Perhaps Triumph could reinforce that area of the bra.

I love this bra because it is so comfortable and have been buying it for many years now but every single one has not lasted more than a few washes. To begin with I admit I did put them in the machine but after talking to Bravissimo I have religiously hand washed for the last three years. This morning another wire has poked through a bra that has definitely been hand washed, less than a dozen times. I have about four of these bras so it's not as if they are being worn day after day - the labels are like new! This is the third to go since I have been hand washing. At over £25 pounds a bra this is not good enough. I notice that the review pages are littered with people saying the same thing. Bravissimo seem to be in total denial that there is a fault. Please sort this problem.

I love this style of bra and have always been fitted with it when I have visited the Manchester store. The staff have been super and very helpful. However, the last two Alana bras I have purchased have both become unwearable because the wire has popped through in the front. I have followed the care instructions and still this has happened. The last one only lasted a couple of months before this happened. I thought it was maybe something I was doing/the way I was wearing it, but now I have come to order again on the website, it seems it is a generic problem so I may hold fire. Has the design been looked into recently? I would love to buy more and like the fact there is such a variety in colours, but if it is going to keep happening there doesn't seem much point. I've been buying the alana bra for a few years now and I can safely say that I never wear anything else! The support is great and the choice of colours means that I can match with all my outfits. I swear by this bra and recommend to everyone I know!

I'm on my second Alana bra and absolutely love it. It is perfect for providing the support I need whilst adding slightly to the 1950s silhouette I wear. Admittedly it is a slightly pointy bra, but I find my boobs are obvious enough to the general public that I'm the only one who notices the difference. This is definitely a bra I intend to buy again and again. Both times I bought this bra in nude so I can wear it under the thin summer tops and dresses necessary in our summer, but I am eyeing some of the more vibrant colours. Most of my bras seem to be a 32H so I would say this is true to size, with a snug band which I prefer.
