I love the navy colour, firm band and supportive cups but this style doesn't work for my shape at all. I get quad boob up top - and that's before a proper scoop & swoop! It also gives me an odd pushed-down ski-jump/teardrop shape. I have close set boobs with tall roots and somewhat full on top.

I have been really disappointed with this bra. From the day I tried it on in the shop the under wiring was uncomfortable just below my armpits. It caused me to bruise and kept digging into my skin. The bra fit was very flattering and pretty but just really uncomfortable.

This bra certainly lifts and separates. You could probably bury your face in my cleavage and not touch either breast, which is probably a good thing, as it moulded my boobs into a weird pointy shape. The back chafed to the point of blistering after wearing it for just one day. I know bras are often uncomfortable, but this is ridiculous. This is obviously a problem and I will be returning it.

I love the Alana and have been buying them for years as they are such a great fit. I have them in a variety of colours and wear them every day. It's the most comfortable style I've ever worn. However, I have also had to sew the wires back in to practically every pair after they poke through at the middle. I don't hand-wash and have usually had a few months' wear before I've had the 'poke', but would be interested to know if Bravissimo is taking all the feedback on board and reinforcing the seams where wires poke through. I visited the website tonight to buy another one as I don't have time to sew up the latest and recycled another days before for the same reason...

I have been buying this bra for sometime now, but the last one I bought on Tuesday 13th November 2015, first worn Wednesday 14th, just scratched my back and was most uncomfortable. I took it back on Saturday 17th as I could stand it no longer and wanted the Alana again but the only other one they had in stock also had the rough areas on the back, where the hooks (or was it eyes) were. So I had to be fitted with another make entirely, which is ok, but the wires in that aren't very padded. There isn't a great deal of choice for us bigger girls, so the problem with Alana does need to be addressed. Please sort out the issue with the Alana, use the furry/felt fabric that other bra makers use to remedy the problem. I can't recommend this bra in its present state, but sort out the problem and all could be well again.

Originally bought a GG as the advisor said to go up one size but I actually needed an H cup which is now perfect. The wires at the side are nice and low which means this does not dig in and is super comfy. First wear was painting my bedroom and I completely forgot I was wearing new bra!

I don't know if it is my age (let's just say over 40!), or the general case post-breastfeeding, but I don't have as much 'substance' in the breast area as when I was younger (for want of a better description), so need something that keeps me enclosed, and this seems to be the only bra that does the job. I have tried others such as Cara and Juna (both by Cleo), which may be prettier, but I tend to spill out of (and escape completely if I bend over!), so I find them unsuitable for everyday wear. Alana is the only one I've come across that I don't need to worry about. There may be others, but with no chance of going for a fitting anytime soon, this is the one I keep coming back to.

I have bought several of these in the past no problems. With the last two the wires came through after a couple of months. Disappointing. I won't buy more until this issue appears to be resolved. Shame as I loved this product.
