I have been buying this bra for years but it really is a hit or miss as to how long it takes the wires to go, some have been weeks while others months, because of this returning is no longer an option, I just have to hope for the best. I usual buy a few at a time, never twist to put on and always hand wash. I just wish there was some consistency with the quality.

Bought this bra based on the reviews of others and I couldn't be happier. Its comfortable yet supportive. Simple yet stylish. I would recommend. Only issue I've had is that my straps will slide off from time to time. Usually means strap needs readjusted.

I have worn Alanas for years, they provide an excellent fit and support. However, as has been fed back by many other ladies, over the past couple of years the underwire pushes through and pops out very soon after purchase. I explained this problem to the lady in store and she recommended only washing the bra by hand in tepid water as, according to her, it was the heat of the washing machine that was cauing the problem. I have followed this advice perfectly with my new bras, yet the wires have poked out very quickly yet again! Please, please Bravissimo take responsibility for a problem that is affecting so many people and improve the quality of this bra. It's so disappointing because I love the bra and I don't want to have to go elsewhere to buy my underwear. I used to recommend this bra to all my friends, but I can't do so anymore, not until this obvious fault is rectified.

The fit is good but my main problem with it is the scratchy trim which has given me a rash on numerous occasions, despite several washes. It has taken a while for the wires to come through but they've done so way before my Freya bras which were my favourite until discontinued by bravissimo.

Have bought quite a few of theses bras, only issue is the wires often protrude through the fabric at the front Have only ever handwashed, this didn't happen in the first ones I bought. Reading the reviews, looks like Bravissimo have a manufacturing problem which should be addressed asap as this is a recurring theme

I have had many of this style as I love it. In the past the wires have come through and as they may have slipped into the washing machine with a load, rather than being hand-washed every time (though most of the time they are), I have never returned them. Until now.......I bought a new one in early October for a holiday and it has 100% been hand-washed. Low and behold this weekend one of the wires broke through - and it was sharp ! I have called Customer Services and returned it, and I am awaiting their reply. So disappointing that so many people suffer this same problem on such a comfortable and well fitting bra.

I have this bra in 4 colours. The fit is perfect and the bra is very comfortable. After giving birth to my son I bought more colours and after only 3 months (worn only once a week, if that) the wires have poked out! Not great value for money and not good for the Bravissimo brand!

I decided it was time to have a store fitting after losing some weight and went to the Manchester store. I usually have to wear full cup bras for support as heavy on top but asked if they could recommend balconette with a lot of support as there is more choice on balconette. One of the ones that was recommended was the Alana and it is I remembered the only balconette that has every supported in past but I did remember that the wires came through material quite early on, but the assistant said it used to be a problem but was now sorted. On reading reviews I am now concerned that the problem does still in fact exist but I hope not. I have now worn this bra all day at work and it is soooo comfortable it gives plenty of uplift and support and fits like a glove. If the assistant is proven right and the problem has been sorted I will definitely buy more in the various colours so will update in a couple of months hopefully with positive update fingers crossed
