After brilliantly helpful Live Chat with Megan (a credit to Bravissimo) I went into the Liverpool One store in mid-March, with high hopes of wearing a plunge bra again. The wires on a traditional full cup bra really dig in, in the middle, but since putting on boob weight, I’ve literally fallen out of a plunge front (both unflattering and uncomfortable). Megan had assured me it WAS possible to find the perfect plunge bra! The girls in Liverpool were fantastic. One look at me and they advised me I’d need 34F in a plunge.
I tried this bra in burgundy. It’s a lot darker than the photos appear online, but it’s a gorgeous colour.
The cups fit me perfectly and feel really secure. Other reviews mention the “height” of the cups. I’m 5’10” so maybe that’s something to consider for someone shorter than me, but for me the cups feels tailor made.
I have wide shoulders, so don’t usually have problem with straps slipping, but the fit and style of this would eliminate that problem for anyone who struggles with straps slipping off.
As suggested by the staff: I left the top clasp fastened and put the bra on over my head. It did feel like a tiny bit of an ordeal to get on, in that if I’d been at home I’d have been scared of breaking the bra (!) but the staff assured me it was fine. So take a breath, go for it, and you’ll be rewarded with a bra you can forget about ALL DAY LONG.
Did I mention the fabric? The cups and lace are SO SOFT. I feel other bras are made of Brillo pads compared to Bravissimo ones.
Finally - the shape under clothes is AMAZING. Where can you get uplift and a rounded shape from a COMFY bra?? It’s a bit on the expensive side but I consider it an investment. I’ve hand-washed it a couple of times, but also machine washed, using a mesh, zip-up laundry bag (kind of cylindrical shape for bras) and it’s been fine on a delicate cycle. HIGHLY recommended. I intend to gradually replace all my bras with Bravissimo plunge, perfect for my shape! 5 stars.
