About the Job

As Senior Creative Pattern Technologist, reporting to the Lead Technologist, you will combine your technical and pattern expertise with a proactive and flexible approach to support the delivery of strategic product innovation, fit and supplier focuses alongside day-to-day responsibilities developing, pattern cutting and grading D+ lingerie to the highest standard of fit, support, and quality; mentoring and supporting less experienced team members to do the same. Taking full ownership of your styles through the whole lifecycle you will work collaboratively and stay connected with product, wider business, and supplier teams, continually supporting the smooth running of the lingerie category, team culture and delivery of consistent brand product standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Technologist in the delivery of strategic initiatives and objectives within technical product development and supply chain through owning and driving parts of or whole projects

  • Work in partnership with the buying team and our suppliers to create new products; problem solving to find technical solutions through pattern, garment construction and materials to deliver the best fit and quality for our customers

  • Cutting and grading patterns from concept to production, making amendments after weekly fit sessions and creating graded measurement charts

  • Work closely with our sample machinists to ensure samples are made correctly to the method of construction and to the quality standard required

  • Support the Lead Tech in managing weekly fitting sessions and the fit and sealing approval process, in addition to managing your styles fitting samples, carrying out measurement and quality checks, giving accurate feedback

  • Create and maintain accurate technical packs from costing to production, ensuring clear communication of fit, quality, and production details that allow factories to produce garments to a high standard

  • Manage product quality throughout whole lifecycle ensuring that all styles are fit for end purpose and bulk production by testing materials and garments, carrying out wear testing and approving test reports

  • Manage styles in line with Critical Path working collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers to problem solve and ensure key milestones are met, mentoring and supporting the team to do the same

  • Create AQL paperwork and packs, working closely with warehouse QC team to AQL approve styles in time for planned launch

  • Managing and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and factories monitoring quality and seasonal performance. This will involve some international travel to factories as required for production quality

About You

You will have at least 5 years practical experience in D+ cup size pattern technology and grading with a passion for creating and developing great fitting Lingerie and Swimwear and have an excellent understanding of garment construction for bulk production enabling you to support and mentor other team members

Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, as is the ability to work accurately under pressure. This role is varied, and you will need to be organised, positive, self-motivated and able to flex and effectively prioritise your workload to ensure product is delivered on time.

Teamwork drives everything we deliver in Product, and you will be confident working collaboratively with colleagues on a day-to-day basis to achieve our goals, and willing to help and support others if needed.

You will be working very closely with all our suppliers, so you will need to be experienced in building and maintaining strong relationships and have the confidence to deal with any issues that may arise. This includes international travel to factories when required.
