Bravissimo is an award-winning multi-channel retailer which provides lingerie, swimwear and clothing for women who are D to L cup. We want our customers to feel amazing and we aim to inspire them to celebrate their figures and feel good about themselves. We have 29 shops in the UK and have just launched our very first US shop in New York. We also have a well-established ecommerce operation that accounts for 50% of our £58 million turnover.
At Bravissimo we’re dedicated to doing the best for our customers. We set ourselves high standards and are constantly looking for ways to improve what we do. We’ve won many awards for our service, products, entrepreneurial approach and originality, and for the last 13 years we have been one of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for.
We have ambitious plans and are looking for a HR professional to join us for the next year (as maternity cover) to support all areas of the business in ensuring we are giving the best to, and getting the best out of our people in order to achieve our business results.
About the role
As a member of the People and Culture team, you will be the first point of contact for employee relations queries and a wide range of people matters. You will be required to maintain up to date knowledge of employment law, whilst understanding Bravissimo policies and ways of working to advise our managers appropriately for our culture. Creating great relationships with our managers and teams will be key to the role and the ability to think on your feet, be autonomous and work with pace will be crucial. It will be your job to ensure we support our teams in creating the right environment and experience for our people and customers. You will also be responsible for some day to day general HR co-ordinator activity – processing new starters, leavers and contract changes, using our HR system, reporting and creating organisation charts.
We are looking for an experienced HR advisor with a proven ability in dealing with a wide range of employee relations who can think creatively and not just replicate what other organisations do. You will be able to deliver day to day advice whilst collating reliable data and looking at the bigger picture for any themes in employee relations across the business. As an influencer to managers and teams within the business, you should have the ability to make complex matters simple and value working as a team. You have the confidence to challenge and influence whilst also being a good listener. Bravissimo is a dynamic and inspiring place so you should be confident and engaging with a heathy curiosity to understand why things exist as they do.
